Adjusting to our life in Bali - Vlog 005

We've been in Bali for 3 weeks now and we love everything about this place. Every day is an adventure and I can't wait to really explore the island. It took us a while to adjust to the time change. Apparently, it takes one day for each hour and since it's an 8 hours difference between Portugal and Bali, it did take us about a week to feel normal and get to sleep through the night. We've been having so much fun though exploring all the beaches in Uluwatu so you'll probably see a lot of us just being beach bums haha I was planning on learning how to surf this week but I didn't get to do it as the conditions were not right but I'm not giving up and will definitely go next week.

We also got to go to the Uluwatu Temple and be part of the amazing Kecak Dance which is performed every day at 6pm and it's an hour-long show. It was developed in Bali in 1930s and is also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant. It is performed by a circle of at least 150 performers wearing checked cloth around their waists and for the entire hour of the performance, these men manage to keep percussively chanting “cak” and moving their hands and arms! My husband was one of the lucky guys to be pulled on stage. Please watch the video till the end to see his "performance" as he definitely stole the show :)

If you enjoyed watching the video please give it a thumbs up. I'm learning how to film and edit as I go so if you have any suggestions or advice, let me know in comments. I have so much fun making these videos so I hope you enjoy watching it! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv_8anRM1w8
