Note: Please follow the updated directions below where we have added, cups, xsane, and ghostscript to the instructions. These packages may not have been installed with the operating system and thus the directions in the video may not work unless you add these packages as detailed below.

Manually installing HP printer drivers on Scientific Linux 6.x, CentOS 6.x, and Redhat Enterprise Linux 6.x.

A full installation of CentOS 6.5 or Scientific Linux 6.5 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux must be installed with the standard desktop utilities. Otherwise once you run hp-setup the printing wizard will not have the appropriate ppd file.

To get started open a terminal and run the following commands:

su rpm -ev --nodeps libsane-hpaio ...
